Vickie is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates her practice on Labor and Employment litigation and administrative proceedings. She advises and represents businesses, including construction companies, on a variety of employment issues including wrongful discharge, retaliation claims, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour claims and Cal-OSHA/OSHA citations. She also advises employers on preventative measures such a policies and handbooks.
Vickie also handles general litigation, insurance defense litigation and insurance coverage matters. She has represented and defended insurance companies in diverse and complex insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts involving general liability, professional liability, employment practices liability and bad faith matters.
Vickie recovered six-figure settlement amounts in insurance contribution and declaratory relief actions and has handled insurance coverage matters in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Vickie is admitted to practice before all California state courts and all U.S. District Courts in California. Vickie obtained a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine School of Law’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and has mediated and arbitrated numerous matters in her areas of practice.
