Trust & Estate; Estate Planning

Our Trust & Estate attorneys provide personal service in structuring all types of trust arrangements, including Family Trusts, Revocable Trusts, Testamentary Trusts as well as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advance Medical Directives (frequently referred to as “Living Wills”) and Health Care Powers of Attorney.

In assisting our clients with estate and generation skipping tax planning, we also assist clients in structuring Tax Wills and Trusts, Qualified Terminable Interest Property and Qualified Domestic Trusts, and, more recently, “Dynasty Trusts”, to preserve wealth for multiple future generations.  These types of arrangements frequently involve “leveraged” gifts using Family Limited Liability Company or Partnership interests.
Our probate and estate practice involves assisting Executors, Administrators and family members with probate and non-probate transfers of property in multiple jurisdictions throughout Virginia and North Carolina, as well as “ancillary” probate in other states.
