Finnegan joins Vandeventer Black’s Richmond Office

RICHMOND, VA.  Vandeventer Black LLP is pleased to announce that Maggie D. Finnegan has joined the Firm’s Richmond office. Finnegan concentrates her practice in professional liability defense, construction, insurance defense, and products liability defense.  She represents contractors, architects, engineers, and liability carriers in a variety of disputes.

Maggie earned her J.D. (magna cum laude) from the University of Richmond School of Law.  While in law school, she served as Articles Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, and as Editor-in-Chief of Juris Publici, the law school’s online newspaper publication.  She was also a student advocate on the Honor Council, providing representation and support to classmates accused of Honor Code violations.  She participated in the Cambridge University Summer Law Program in Cambridge, England.
Maggie earned her B.S. in Finance (cum laude) at Virginia Tech.  Before going to law school, she was an auditor with the Auditor of Public Accounts in Richmond, Virginia.

Prior to joining Vandeventer Black, Maggie worked as an associate for O’Hagan Spencer LLP, where she represented automobile manufacturers and liability carriers in the defense of products liability and insurance disputes.  She worked with Litten & Sipe, LLP in Harrisonburg, Virginia as a summer associate.  She was also a legal intern for the Virginia Division of Legislative Services, where she served as an assistant to the Executive Director of the Virginia Housing Commission.
