NORFOLK, VA. The law offices of Vandeventer Black LLP are pleased to announce that Michael P. Giordano has joined the firm. Mike’s practice includes a wide range of legal specialties with a primary focus on Construction Law, Public Contracts, General Litigation, Environmental Law, and Renewable Energy.
Mike earned his B.A. in Political Science at Virginia Tech, and his J.D. (cum laude) at the University of Richmond School of Law. In law school, Mike served as an Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Richmond Law Review, and he completed a judicial externship for the Honorable M. Hannah Lauck, U.S. Magistrate Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
While studying at Virginia Tech, he was a member of the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets where he served as a Company Commander. Upon graduation, he received a commission in the U.S. Navy.
Prior to his law career, Mike served as a Surface Warfare Officer from 2004-2008. During this time he completed two sea tours, including one tour on the USS Cole. He completed his active duty service at the rank of Lieutenant.
