RALEIGH, NC. The law offices of Vandeventer Black LLP are pleased to announce that Ashley Holmes has joined the firm’s Raleigh office. Ashley’s practice includes civil matters, focusing on business litigation, land condemnation, and administrative law. Ashley is licensed to practice in North Carolina and is a member of the North Carolina and American Bar Associations.
Prior to joining Vandeventer Black, Ashley served as a summer clerk for the Honorable Justice Paul M. Newby of the Supreme Court of North Carolina. She also served as a research assistant for Professor Michael J. Gerhardt in his role as Special Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee during the nomination of Justice Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court.
Ashley received her B.A. in Art History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her J.D. (cum laude) from the University of North Carolina School of Law. While at UNC Law, Ashley served on the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology as both a published staff writer and a Notes Editor.
