Anne is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates her practice in Labor and Employment Law and Tax Litigation. She represents clients before federal and state courts, arbitrators/mediators, and administrative agencies, including the EEOC and the NLRB.  In addition, she advises clients on sexual harassment, the Family and Medical Leave Act, disability law, employee discipline, labor relations, and other labor and employment law issues.  In her ten years of litigation experience, she has tried several cases. She won a half-million dollar jury verdict and a $4 million summary judgment.

Anne earned a B.A. in English and History from the College of William & Mary and a J.D. from the College of William & Mary School of Law, where she was Professional Articles Editor for the William & Mary Law Review. Anne was a student law clerk for the Honorable William L. Person, Jr., Ninth Judicial Circuit, Virginia, from 1996 to 1997. 

She is admitted to practice before the Virginia Supreme Court and District of Columbia Court of Appeals; U.S. District Courts for Eastern District of Virginia, District of Columbia, Eastern District of Wisconsin, and District of Nebraska; U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Fifth, Ninth, Tenth, and Federal Circuits and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Prior to joining Vandeventer Black, Anne worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, in Washington, D.C., where she litigated civil tax cases in federal district, bankruptcy, and state courts nationwide. Many of her cases were complex, multi-million dollar matters. She received three Tax Division Outstanding Attorney Awards and an IRS National Award. Anne also worked for the U.S. Postal Service Law Department in Washington and New York, where she litigated labor and employment cases and trained and advised management on preventative human resource strategies.
