Sean is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates his law practice in professional liability, labor and employment, construction and insurance defense. He represents accountants, architects, engineers, contractors and liability carriers.
Sean earned his J.D. (cum laude, Intellectual Property Certificate) from the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served as articles editor of the University of Richmond Law Review, as Judicial committee co-chair of the Moot Court Board and vice president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. He studied abroad through the Cambridge University Summer Law Program in Cambridge, England. He earned his B.S. in Business from Wake Forest University, where he served as president of the Sigma Nu fraternity and as a representative on the Inter-Fraternity Council Judicial Board.
Sean worked as a legal intern for the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Virginia, as well as the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, where he served as sole intern for the Insurance and Utilities Regulatory division. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Chris Cotropia at the University of Richmond School of Law. Sean’s community work includes volunteering for the Legal Aid Justice Center in Richmond.
