Sheryn is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates her law practice in immigration, civil litigation, construction and public contracts law and professional liability defense.
Sheryn served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County in Chicago, Illinois, where she prosecuted a variety of matters on behalf of the State. She led numerous bench trials and participated in two jury trials.
She received a B.A. in Communication Studies at the University of California at Los Angeles and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame School of Law, receiving the International Academy of Trial Lawyer’s Award. While at Notre Dame, Sheryn competed in the Barrister’s Moot Court Trial Team, where she participated in trial competitions in the District of Columbia and Texas. Sheryn is licensed to practice in Illinois and Virginia.
