Heather is an attorney with Vandeventer Black and concentrates her law practice in litigation, primarily in labor and employment litigation and counseling and products liability, suretyship and bonds, general insurance defense and personal injury litigation.
Heather served as pro se law clerk to the Honorable Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division, from 1998 to 1999.
She received a B.S. (magna cum laude) from James Madison University, where she majored in Political Science and Human Communications with an emphasis on Alternative Dispute Resolution. She earned a J.D. (summa cum laude) from American University Washington College of Law, where she served on the Law Review and the Moot Court Board. Heather is licensed to practice in Virginia and all U.S. District Courts in Virginia, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
