Bob is a partner with Vandeventer Black chairing the firm’s litigation group. His litigation experience includes toxic torts, products liability, medical devices, personal injury defense, commercial litigation and condemnation and land use. His practice involves litigation and mediation in Virginia, North Carolina and West Virginia.
Bob’s litigation experience has involved many complex, multiparty matters requiring the development of a team approach utilizing the skills of other attorneys and paralegals and employing state of the art techniques to efficiently and effectively serve his clients.
His clients range from manufacturers of products, product device companies, electric utility cooperatives to individuals and land owners.
He graduated (summa cum laude) from Spring Hill College, Mobile, Alabama with a B.S. in History and received a J.D. from the University of Virginia.
Bob served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps and achieved the rank of Captain. Bob is licensed to practice in Virginia and North Carolina and is admitted to practice in Federal and State courts in both states.
He is regularly recognized in Virginia Business magazine as one of Virginia’s Legal Elite in the area of Litigation (2000 - 2004).
