Director of Marketing

Jeff Bergren joined Vandeventer Black in April, 2010 and oversees the marketing and public relations efforts for the firm.  Jeff began his career in the insurance industry working as a director for the Large Corporate Markets division of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company before joining the law firm of Pullman & Comley in Connecticut in 2005.

Jeff also has a strong history of reporting and journalism.  He was a sports broadcaster and play-by-play announcer for WBNZ Radio in Traverse City, MI, while also serving as the executive editor of the Citizen Journal, covering news and sports.  Prior to that, he covered Marshall University Football for West Virginia MetroNews Radio.

Jeff is also a graduate of the LEAD Hampton Roads (LHR) program which was established in 1988 by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. LHR brings together seasoned leaders from across greater Hampton Roads and provides unique avenues for cooperation, innovative problem solving and the development of lasting professional and civic relationships.

Jeff earned a B.S. from Southern Connecticut State University, where he majored in Journalism and Public Relations.
