Community Association
Vandeventer Black’s Community Association team provides legal counsel catered specifically to the needs of condominium and property owners associations. We are one of the most progressive community association practices in the region, representing clients in the full spectrum of legal issues specific to community association law. We work with boards and managing agents on the multifaceted issues presented, on a daily basis as well as in less typical situations. We provide strategic guidance in the interpretation, review and development of governing documents and operational issues and assist with developing and implementing policy. Although we primarily represent associations that have transitioned from declarant control, Vandeventer Black is experienced in representing developers in local government issues and drafting the legal documents to create community associations and in counseling associations as they go through the transition process.
We serve as legal counsel to community associations throughout Virginia, including Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, Virginia’s Eastern Shore and Richmond, as well as the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
