Vandeventer Black’s Franczek Elected to Board of Governors for Virginia Bar Association
William E. Franczek of the law offices of Vandeventer Black LLP has been elected to the Board of Governors for the Virginia Bar Association (VBA). Franczek will serve a three-year term.
Franczek is managing partner at Vandeventer Black and concentrates his practice in construction law, alternative dispute resolution and public contracts. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1973 and a J.D. magna cum laude in 1982 from Syracuse University and a M.S. in Environmental Science in 1977 from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and New York and is also licensed to practice law in Virginia and New York. He is, a member of the Executive Board of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia, the Board of Directors for the Builders and Contractors Exchange, and a member of the Association of Builders and Contractors. Franczek is an Arbitrator and Mediator with the American Arbitration Association, has been trained as a Mediator in Construction Disputes, and is a Virginia Supreme Court Certified Mediator. Franczek is based in the firm’s Norfolk office.
