Former DA, Trivette, Joins Law Offices of Vandeventer Black
NORFOLK, VA.
The law offices of Vandeventer Black LLP are pleased to announce that Robert P. Trivette has joined the firm. Trivette will concentrate his practice in civil litigation and criminal law.
Prior to joining Vandeventer Black, Trivette served 13 years as Assistant District Attorney for the First Judicial District in North Carolina. Trivette earned his J.D. in 1989 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as an Articles Editor for North Carolina Journal of International Law & Commercial Regulation. He attended Wake Forest University and received a B.A. in 1981 from Virginia Intermont College, and a M.A. in Journalism in 1987 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Gerald Arnold on the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
Currently, Trivette is chairman of the Dare County Domestic Violence Protection Committee. He has served as a Member of Vestry of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Nags Head, on the Advisory Board of the State Employees Credit Union in Manteo and as a member of the Town of Kill Devil Hills Planning Board.
His wife Donna, is a self-employed Speech Pathologist, and currently serves on the Kitty Hawk Town Council.
Trivette will be based in the Firm’s Kitty Hawk office.
