NORFOLK, VA.

Neil Lowenstein of the law offices of Vandeventer Black LLP has been admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia. Lowenstein is a partner with Vandeventer Black and concentrates his practice in the areas of Construction Law and Government Contracts, assisting clients in such areas as contract negotiation, bid protests, claims avoidance, claims management and dispute resolution. He is also licensed to practice in Virginia and North Carolina.

Lowenstein received his B.A. (with distinction) in 1985 from the Virginia Military Institute and his J.D. in 1989 from The University of Richmond School of Law. He is a member of the Norfolk and Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, American, Virginia and North Carolina Bar Associations, as well as the Virginia and North Carolina State Bars. He regularly represents clients before local, state, and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as the various federal boards of contract appeals, the Comptroller General of the United States, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and various arbitration and mediation tribunals. A commissioned officer, Lowenstein remains active in the United States Army Reserves, and is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic and Civil Affairs Officer Advanced Schools. He was selected as one of Hampton Roads’ Top Forty Under Forty for 2002 by Inside Business Magazine.
