Vandeventer Black places second as hampton roads' best places to work
INSIDE BUSINESS recognized 25 companies Monday at a special luncheon and in a special edition in the July 9 issue of the publication as the Best Places to Work in Hampton Roads. About 215 people attended the event.
Companies were selected after judges reviewed nomination forms and the results of an online employee survey. Companies with more than 500 employees were asked to enter a division or department with fewer than 500 to enhance the credibility of the applications. Each application was scored by the judges and the average was combined with scores of the online surveys to determine the honorees. Ten of the companies were given special recognition as being among the top 10.
The companies recognized in the top 10 were:

The other companies recognized were: Cox Media Hampton Roads, Damuth Trane, HSMM, Liberty Tax Service, LoanCare Servicing Center Inc., MICG Investment Management, Patient Advocate Foundation, Riverside Rehabilitation Institute Inc., Russell’s Heating and Cooling, Swimways Corp., Thalhimer/Cushman & Wakefield, Verizon Wireless Southeastern Virginia Crisis Response Team, Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office, W.M. Jordan Co. Inc. and Warwick Forest Retirement Community.
